Said again, for the room
Mitch Wong’s re:said, out today, is five songs he already trusted, rebuilt so a congregation can hold them. “MARVELOUS” is the one that names Jesus without a costume: counselor, prince of peace, king. The new pass does not dress that line up. It leaves air around it.
The record pairs songs instead of stacking features. “EXPERIENCE” sits with “Rest On Us.” “HOUSE OF PRAYER” with “STRONGER MAN.” “WORD OF GOD” stands on its own, then “THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES” shares a track with “Holy Forever.” These are worship-leader versions: less spectacle, more of the line a room can actually sing.
If you lead on Sunday, start with “MARVELOUS.” If you are only listening, the same song still works with the lights off.
